Games in the Shack

Was in the Hobby Shack last night for the usual Thursday games, so got 2 800pt games in with Dave and Elliott.

Elliott's report:

My second game was against Eoin's WoC. 

His list was a lot better this week. Level 2 with + 1 to cast. 12 or so WoC of tzeentch. 5 Knights of tzeentch and 2 units of 5 Dags.
My list was slightly different. I dropped my warriors and added loadsa RxBmen into the unit I had. Dropped shadow for metal and the rest was the same as previous weeks.
Again I castled in a corner. Hoping that my metal magic would help. It didn't. Eoin played a cracking game and used his magic very well to remove my shades and whittle down my RxBmen. He kept his knights an WoC together and made sure he got the charges he wanted in about turn 4. He got the knights into the corsairs and destroyed then in one round. The WoC and a unit of Dags went into the RxBmen and killed them outright. Great game and again I was outplayed and out thought in the magic phase. Well done to Eoin.
Eoin got everything.
I got nothing.
It ended 10-0 to Eoin. 

Also what he didn't mention was that unlike last week, I didn't fail every armour, difficult terrain and panic test I rolled!

A good evening was had by all!

Paintathon is on Sunday week (25th Nov) so I'll bring the rest of my Warriors, Hellstriders and a Sorcerer to paint.
I'll bring 800pts with me too for a quick game with Dave to break up the day. I can't sit and paint for 11 hours straight!!!

It's hard to keep this up!

It sure is hard to keep up this blogging! What with work and home getting in the way!

I will however have some time this evening to finish (hopefully) a third Chaos Warrior and maybe even get the Sorcerer started too.

So here's hoping!!

I've finally found time to work on the Warriors

I've finally found time to work on the Warriors (time is very precious due to wedding planning and college projects!) and I've started on my second chaos warrior. I'm going to keep him the exact same as the last guy and just try to work on the armour glyphs. I'll change up the next few with different coloured fur and cloaks but I'm leaving that for this guy. Great to be back painting!

I also had a rare day off last Friday so took a trip into Gamersworld, picking up a new Lord charater in the shape of Archaon! Beaut of a model, I'm afraid  to paint him in case he looks rubbish as I demean the model! Also got some Orge Kingdoms Yhetees that I want use as Chaos Trolls. Nice models and better value than the Chaos Trolls!

I'll add some pictures once I'm done Warrior #2.
